1. What are the differences between epoxies and Polymers?
Polymers are more durable and can stand up to the dirt that gets drug into our garages in winter areas like Minnesota. Polymers are more chemical resistant, so this allows you to use a wide range of cleaning supplies to keep your floor looking new for many years.
2. Will this process and coating affect my in-floor heat?
Not at all. These coatings will prolong the life of your concrete and continue to protect your investment in the on-floor heating system you have installed.
3. Can you fill the cut lines, so I no longer have those dirt catchers?
Yes, we can. If you have a heated garage that you keep above freezing all winter long, we are very happy to fill them. Concrete does tend to move a lot more if it goes through the freeze thaw cycle.
4. How soon after construction can I coat my floor?
You should wait 28 days before applying any coating to allow your concrete to get a total cure.
5. How long of a process is this?
It depends on the size of the floor. For almost all garages it is 1 day of prep and 1 day of coating. 24 hours after the last coat for foot traffic and 48 hours for a total cure.
